Message from the CEO
I am personally so impressed with the dedication of the residents and faculty of our Internal Medicine Residency program. In partnership with New York Medical College, we are providing a vital service to a diverse population of patients in need.
Landmark Medical Center has been a large part of the fabric of the community we serve for over 140 years. Evolving from Woonsocket Hospital to Landmark Medical Center and always taking into consideration the needs of the people we care for. We welcome our Residents and Interns to help us to better serve those in our communities and offer new opportunities to expand the resources for their healthcare needs. The patients we serve in Northern RI and Southeastern Massachusetts will most certainly benefit from the knowledge, training, and experience our residents will bring.
We have our most experienced staff leading the program and working with the Residents and Interns. As they arrive at Landmark Medical Center from all over the world, we become more excited about the future of healthcare in the communities we serve. Welcome to Landmark!

Message from the Program Director
Welcome to the New York Medical College/Landmark Medical Center Internal Medicine Program.
It was with great pleasure that continue to expand our program to meet the needs of our local community while providing an excellent learning environment for our Residents. We launched this program in 2021 in conjunction with our parent academic institution New York Medical College.
For over a 145 years Landmark Medical Center has been integral to the city of Woonsocket and its population, representing over 40,000 people in what is considered an underserved area.
One of our goals is to ensure that we can best serve the community by teaching and graduating thoughtful, ethical and caring physicians who may want to give back to the community and stay on as primary care physicians, hospitalist or even go on to pursue fellowships, one day returning to the community. We expect our training will also teach you to uphold the moral standards of the medical profession.
Our philosophy is to treat residents as learners and not employees. We will strive to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning so that you can meet the goals of the ACGME. In return we look forward to your dedication, hard work, honesty and maintenance of the highest standards.
It is my hope and that of our Co-Assistant Program Directors, Dr. Syed Naqvi and Dr. Jenna Iannuccilli, along with GME Coordinator Paula Goncalves, will provide you with an excellent clinical experience where you fulfill the goals of why you wanted to become a physician in the first place.
