Nutrition Services
Landmark Medical Center’s Nutrition Services department makes every effort to provide the hospital community with the highest quality food and medical nutrition therapy in the most effective manner possible. We look forward to serving you during your hospital stay. It is our primary goal to serve you nutritious foods that we hope will exceed your expectations.
Each day our patients receive a selective menu based on the diet prescribed by their physician. Our menu features a wide variety of appetizers, hot and cold entrees, vegetables, deserts, and beverages.

Our daily menu features the seven guidelines for healthy eating:
- Eat a variety of foods
- Maintain ideal body weight
- Avoid too much fat, saturated fat and cholesterol
- Eat foods with adequate starch and fiber
- Avoid too much sugar
- Avoid too much sodium
- Drink adequate fluids
A host or hostess visits with patients daily to assist with menu selections.
A registered dietitian is also available for extensive nutrition intervention and education. The dietitians work together with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes
All Landmark Medical Center patients are screened for nutritional risk as part of their initial patient assessment. For patients who are at nutritional risk, an appropriate interdisciplinary plan of care will be determined. The nutrition care provided to the patients will be further investigated by comprehensive assessment and an appropriate nutrition care plan will be implemented.
Patients may also receive nutrition intervention upon personal request.
Medical nutrition therapy and education are available, but not limited to:
