Precious Beginnings
Women’s Health
Landmark’s Maternity Care and Newborn Nursery Precious Beginnings blends the latest in maternity-care technology with warmth and personal attention focusing on the mother’s wishes and needs, thereby providing a unique birth experience for each patient.
Single Room Maternity
At Landmark, we specialize in a single room maternity experience also known as LDRP or Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum care. The single-room maternity concept gives mothers the opportunity to experience all phases of birth in the same comfortable, homelike setting. Mothers and babies receive the best in maternity care in a warm and pleasant environment. The Women’s Health staff are trained in all aspects of labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care, and are all certified in neonatal resuscitation. They follow national standards of care, as recommended by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Family-Focused Learning
A special component of the birthing experience includes family-oriented programs. Our nursing staff helps you and your family learn about caring for the new little addition in your life. Maternity care on this unit educates and involves both parents and siblings.
Our Warm Atmosphere
You’ll find our decor was designed with the new mom in mind. It provides a homelike atmosphere that is truly a departure from traditional maternity settings. All patients have their own private room with a private bathroom and shower. Each room is also equipped to provide comprehensive maternity care and support for you and your baby.
Our Nursery
Our nursery is a special place where your newborn will be safe and comfortable. We encourage rooming-in (your baby will stay with you for most of your hospital stay). However, if you should desire some rest and relaxation before going home, our nursery is a special place where your newborn will safe and comfortable. Our Code Alert Security System ensures your baby’s protection at all times.
Even Once You’re Home
The Women’s Health staff, which includes an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and several certified lactation counselors, provides ongoing care and support even after you and your baby have gone home.
