Program and Curriculum Overview
The New York Medical College/Landmark Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program is an ACGME-accredited residency program committed to training exceptional physicians through a combination of rigorous clinical education, individualized mentorship, and service to a diverse patient population.
As a community-based teaching hospital affiliated with New York Medical College, Landmark Medical Center offers residents the advantages of a close-knit learning environment paired with the academic resources of a nationally recognized medical school. Our residents benefit from strong faculty engagement, hands-on clinical experiences, and progressive responsibility that prepares them for independent practice and lifelong learning.
The program currently trains 36 categorical residents and 5 preliminary residents. Our size promotes close collaboration among residents, faculty, and hospital leadership while allowing for personalized education, mentorship, and career development.
Residents gain extensive experience caring for patients across the full spectrum of internal medicine in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Our comprehensive curriculum includes core and subspecialty rotations, structured didactic conferences, board preparation, quality improvement initiatives, scholarly activity, and opportunities for leadership development.

Longitudinal Continuity Clinic
Throughout residency, residents participate in a continuity clinic experience where they develop long-term relationships with patients and gain experience in preventive care, chronic disease management, population health, and patient-centered outpatient medicine.
Research & Scholarly Activity
Residents are encouraged to participate in scholarly activities, including clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, case reports, poster presentations, and regional and national conferences. Faculty mentorship is available to support residents in achieving their academic and professional goals.
